Youth Recreational Program

Bowling

Mission Statement: Provide positive recreational alternatives and activities that build pride as well as athletic skills.

Goals:

  • Help to develop character, teamwork, and relationship skills.
  • Facilitate academic achievement through extracurricular activities.
  • Help to develop strategies of timeliness and discipline.
  • Increase parental involvement and support of their youth to promote increased self-esteem.
  • Build a collaboration with city youth agencies to coordinate activities for area teens.

Program Description/Components:

  • Bowling League for ages 6 - 18.
  • Weekly bowling with individualized instruction as needed.
  • Incentives, awards and outings for achievements in a variety of categories.
  • Parental support through active participation and oversight of this program.
  • Transportation is provided for youth whose parents are working or have no means of transportation.

Program Hours: Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Note: Program runs September - May)
